Benefits of In-Home Pet Care

Benefits of home pet care

There are some great benefits to  choosing in-home pet care over the alternatives that involve leaving your pets in a foreign environment. Dogs and cats who remain in their familiar environment during your absence experience less stress and fear of abandonment. While both species have many more needs than simply food, water, and potty breaks, cats are especially sensitive to new settings and the scent of other animals. A dog's sense of well-being depends on daily exercise, enrichment, and affection. Like humans, our pets have lower immunity to pathogens and disease when under stress. An in-home pet care provider is unlikely to expose your animals to any of the feline or canine specific illnesses that they may encounter in a boarding facility or similar high-animal-traffic placement center. Rescue and elderly pets benefit greatly from the sense of security they have staying in their home and sleeping in their own beds or crates. Owners can travel with the peace of mind knowing that their beloved pet will be in a hygienic space, receiving the attention they deserve.
